Suggestion: Even though Internet Marketing, Jobs and How to Make Money Online are enticing and can be profitable areas to make cash, they are difficult to break into.
Look for some odd subject that has traffic in the search engines and preferably on a subject that you have a passion for.

it seems that this is just delaying tactics.
could somebody there give an overview of the process
because so far I have seen nothing which relates to the promise made and for which we are paying.
a reassurance is in order because otherwise we are all just wasting our money with pm select.

The Coaches have ProfitMart web sites.
It is true that many times statements are made as to the effectiveness of a product or products and as regard to the “Plan” I am not sure what the Plan is but you would have to contact Ron or Rick (the ProfitMart Guys) directly.
Personally when I look at a product I try to bypass any extraordinary statements (hype) and look at the cold hard facts. Is it fantasy or reality. If it sounds too good to be true like buy a lottery ticket to win a bizzillion dollars than I do discount the statement. But looking behind the engine I found ProfitMart solid in the long run. I have personally made more than I put into it which is a good thing. You are purchasing with ProfitMart a Web site and hosting along with the expertise of the ProfitMart team.
I have two ProfitMart sites and they both receive organic traffic.

Did the traffic magically appear over night? No.
Am I getting traffic.
Am I making thousands of dollars per day? No.
Am I making money with ProfitMart web sites? Yes.
As with any system it takes time to develop and grow.
But some of the issues may be with the niche you chose.
Was it how to make money?
Flooded.
Can you make money with that niche? Yes but it takes a considerable amount of work to get it to where you are making good money.
Did you notice that there is work involved? No magic bullet, no lottery tickets but pure grunt work.
My father once wrote a book. How to make a million dollars without trying. What did it contain? Blank pages. Why because it is an impossibility. You still have to do something. A little elf is not going to pop out and say hello here is your million.
I hope I am not being too cynical but when statements are made take them with a grain of salt.
Ok enough of my rant.
Try to take about 2 hours a day to build the site and promote the site.
Make a schedule.
Set your goals and be goal orientated.
Don’t constantly check the statistics. Can be a big time waster.
Copy someone who is already making money online.
(Make sure he really is doing it there are a lot of hucksters out their. Lying thru their teeth about either how much they are making or how easy it is to make it. There are numerous ebooks out there explaining how it is done in the NAME OF MARKETING that is Lying. How to create fabricated results for Review sites, Weight Loss and so forth.)
Use only a small portion of your time to learn new things.
Be very cautious about using PPC advertising you can lose your shirt overnight if it is done wrong.
Do your research?
Do a little learning each day.
Stop buying ebooks that claim success. Each book usually leaves out at least one thing but you may have dozens already try to discern where the gaps are and STOP reading and start doing.
Make a goal of say making $5.00 a day within 3 months.
Slow and steady wins the race.
I am sure I am going to open my self up for a battery of comments and who knows my Coaching days may be limited with this comment but that is the beauty of free speech.

Bryan, firstly, thank you for your comment. I can handle this one, Bryan has not yet implemented the techniques that all ProfitMart Select members will be
using in the coming weeks.
My first knee-jerk reaction was to simply delete this comment string. But I welcome comments both positive and negative.
What I really don’t like is people playing hide and go seek or “guess who I am” in the blog. Hiding behind a nickname or alter-ego is very weak and is for the timid. If you have something to say, be it positive or negative, at least have the commitment to your comments to identify yourself.
I will talk to Ron about making it so usernames in the blog must be actual names.
I receive very few negative comments about the product and/or coaching we provide in the Select program (or any level of ProfitMart for that matter).
Tom, once you have learned the techniques and methods that we use, you WILL be able to get traffic quickly in just about any niche. I do it daily.
What Ron and I know about web promotion and what the average member knows about it range vastly.
Some are outright beginners. That is where I would guess that you are. That’s OK, we all start somewhere.
For us to sit down in a single webinar and get our members to understand many of the concepts would be impossible.
We have to start with a basic understanding level and build on it. Basically building blocks.
Tell you what, send me your Twitter account to Rick@ProfitMart.com so I can see that you have started to implement what we are teaching. Have you done that? Have you opened a free aWeber account after last nights webinar?
You will notice that unlike most other webinars or presenters out there, we are not hitting our members with upsells, or other things to buy. We present both free and paid option to all solutions that we recommend.
Not once in the three Twitter webinars did we ask our members to buy anything. Last night we offered both a free and a paid solution for autoresponders. Which one did you choose?
You have to admit, we clearly over-deliver on what we promise. You would need a Web Design / ftp program like Dreamweaver or NUV or something else even notpad would do since you need to modify the header html code in the index.html template (between the tags) you are using found at http://www.yoursite.com/cb/protemplates/The Template You are Currently Using/index.html .
Hopefully you know or can learn html and how to use a ftp program.

Sorry but the answer is pretty much the same meta tags are in between the and tags which are found in the index.html file at http://http://www.yoursite.com/cb/protemplates/The-Template-You-are-Currently-Using/index.html that’s the file you need to edit.
You would need to use an text or html editor and a ftp program to download the template you want to modify.
The editor is not the one found in admin.php since you can only edit a small portion of the page with that editor.

Hi,
my clickbank categories on the left are just listed out and when I show my clickbank keywords they are just merged at the top of them. I notice a lot of people have a nice box around the keywords and another nice box around the categories – how do you do that?
Sorry to be dumb but I can’t see anything in the training to show how to do it.

There may be a template in the list that does that I am not sure but most likely the modification would be done by modifying the CSS coding. (Cascading Style Sheets.)
As with HTML and learning PHP, CSS is another type of code to put on your must learn list if you are wanting to modify templates etc.

I really need help. I have went through most of the training material and I can add RSS feeds to my site but I do not understand how to deal with or even tell the difference in pages. I really need to add keyword for each page and don’t know how. Can you help or point me in the right direction.

Since the Profitmart system is kind of a Content Management system it is not easy to add keywords to each dynamically generated page. I added a script to the pages I designed (I made the small script) to add the search term to the keywords. But not all PM templates have this function. Only the pages I created for PM.
The difference in your pages should be your content.
The reality is that keywords are not as important as you might think for search engines. Then what is? CONTENT, rich keyword content. Don’t use a word more that 5% or that may be classified as spamming to the search engines and you may be penalized for doing that. Usually about 1-3% is adequate.

Hi Bryan,
I have tried to load my, or PM site into the text editor that we use for our other non-Profitmart sites (HTML Editor). I have loaded in the editor, but it does not come up such that I can do anything to modify the template or the content on the site. Have you ever worked with the HTML editor or know how if it will work for this. I understand HTML and php code. I have not worked in modifying the CSS code. Any help there would be appreciated.

We are going to set up a niche of Natural Healthly Living, and changing the URL from its current one that is too broad. Is the new one still too broad?
We intend to use Keywords, of such things as Healthy Foods, Nutrition, Vitamans and Supplements, Excercise, Natural Medicines, Healthy Cooking Methods, Spiritual Health. Each of those pages will be set up with separate content and other product links (from CJ and other afiliates sources that we already use on our other sites) for that topic.

You have to go to the cb/protemplates/ Directory to find the PM template for the index page. Be careful in this area since it can really mess with your site if you do it wrong.
Content is the King to getting visits from the search engines. Make sure the content has the keyword you are wanting to target. Don’t use your keyword more than 3-5% within the body of your copy any more and the search engines might think you are spamming them.
Quick question.
If I made a physical product such as a Video DVD that explains how to edit the templates, create templates, how to create a CSS file and more for ProfitMart sites and then upload them to the correct area and then how to select the template. Would you guys be interested? The price would be $19.95 USD plus $5.95 USD shipping. The DVD would ship by standard mail from the USA so if you are in another country there may be some duties and taxes on entry to your country. I would include information on how to edit the CB widget and add it to your site. Within the video I would give a link to a page where you could download 2 or 3 custom templates that have a tiny bit more functionality to them.

Okay, My name is Coralie and I was (am) “hiding under the nickname sys9″, this is only because I have read at yahoo that this is what you should do on forums.(they advise don´t reveal your real name) As from now you know my proper name.”Coralie”
I am trying very hard to update my select site with a new and I hope better image and content. That is always what I aim at. Since the changes to profitmart have taken place I am no longer able to write content, change page headers or do any alterations.No changes are saved and I get this message “please wait…” which tuggs away for hrs ( if I would let it) Yes, I have been tampering with the CSS file, because in it is such a mumbo jumbo of old website content and the new content I am trying to add. (want to get rid of my previous page content and start afresh, which according to the tutorials is a great idea= experimenting and renewing.
I am in touch with support about this, but I feel sorry for them because I think they are having a hard time following up on all my challenges. Is there a possibility the you can help me Bryan? My website is http://www.secure-your-success.com and just now it is shut, because of this mess.
I will be eternally grateful for any help you can give me so that I can get my business going. Although I am somewhat frustrated I love profitmart and want to be an asset not an encumbrance.

It seems as if at least at my ProfitMart site http://www.profitmartbydesign.com I can add content and it shows up on the site but when I go back to modify the content in the backoffice the data is not there to edit so I would suggest to save the information you type in into a notepad file so you can modify it and hopefully there will be a fix for this someday.
You have to go into the backoffice select Categories then find the page you want to edit click on [content] to get to the area where you edit the page content.

I read some other comments and “fixes” here and did some searching for new ways to get around this and came to more or less the same conclusion. It´s so great to understand that it is a “bug” I was begining to feel like a “bug” myself, but at last my website is making slow progress and I´m using notepad like you suggested.

I am srruggling to get my Aweber acc set up on my site. http://www.ebookpicks.com.The problem is my pop-up won’t pop-up. I have listened to all information i can find about aweber and I have spoke with them and they helped as much as they could and then said to call you.If I heard correct I should have pated the link in my default header. Is this correct because I have and I can’t get it to work.I submitted a ticket and there answer was to paste it in the default content body.Please help
Gail, be sure the pop-up setting are to open on EVERY page load, otherwise Aweber prevents it from pooping up. Twitter @rondavies please.
