Thanks so much for this blog, it looks great and very exciting with our new coaches.
I am very thankful to be back after my worst experience on the Internet so far, my computor was infected by a rootkit that was not detected by my previous antivirus program.(a very well known one)
I have been informed by support that a rootkit is extremely difficult to find and boot, that has indeed been my experience! So take care!
I lost everything, As I kept a notebook in a bank safetybox I could retrieve some passwords!
Anyway this experience gave me some good ideas.
(There is always something positive in every negative experience) .
Being back with profitmart and friends here is a great start.
Must admit I was thankful to see my website on the net, now I must take a look to see if I can still administrate it!

Hi. Just signed up for profitmart yesterday. I’ve set up my website, have all affiliate sites except waiting for ebay. Not sure what else to do at this point! I also have a mac and I’m not sure if affiliate tracking etc. will work on mac?

Hi Jodi, i recommend leaving the mac for most Internet work. It is good to see your site as your visitors will, and Macs are still less than 15% of users online. I love them too, but they will not do all of what you need.

Hi Ron, I have a lot of questions being new at this, but today I need some help getting an image from my picture file in Cpanel to a page on my website. I want to have a picture and write some text. I have been writing the text okay but I just can’t figure out how to get the picture over there. Help! Thanks
Hi Frep3hat, I thought I would jump in here and give you a quick reply to your question. When you log into your cpanel, put any images you want to insert into your site into the public html folder. Once the file (picture) has been uploaded to you cpanel, simple click on the file on the left hand side and the web url for that picture file will be displayed on the right hand side. Simply right click on that address, copy the shortcut and paste it into the address when you select to add picture in your editor. The picture will then display and allow you to resize etc. Then submit and Presto! Your picture has been uploaded to your site. You see, any files you place on your site, must have a “home” aka, your cpanel file manager, to display on your site. I trust this helps.

I just set most of everything up just waiting on a few things, very impressed with most of everything. But I want to make one comment on the templates. I think they are very generic and I’ve spent hours on trying to decide on which one to use and I can’t make up my mind. I hope the templates get updated soon and look more eye appealing, they just don’t look very professional at all. Other than that all is very good.

Hi to all. I listened to the Twitter call last night. I’m on Twitter, and I have NO IDEA what you were talking about!! I’m ready for the success part of profitmart. Hi, I am new to Profitmart and been plat around wth the website.How can I increase the width of the body to match the width of the top banner.
If I increase the site width greater than 500, only the top banner width increases.
Another question, I signed up with the e-Bay network about three days ago and have had no response from them. In your experience how long do they normally take to respond?

The reason that some of the tempaltes don’t work with a variable width is that they are actually fixed width sites.
The bottom only will vary if you put in a image or item bigger than the fixed width of the template.

How do I insert the “Profitmart banner” into my website?
I copied the code for the particular banner , but where do I go to insert it. I tried the body content from the admin panel but all it did was show the code after I clicked save and viewed my web site.!

Well are you familiar with web design programs like dreamweaver?
You also would need to know some html and possibly some php.
What you will need to do is to make a new template that you can select from the admin.php page.
The reason you need to make a new template is if there are any updates from ProfitMart the canned templates will change and you will lose your header changes all other changes in the admin.php will not change but because you are changing core html and php then a change at the template level could be lost.
If you don’t have the skills to make a new template with your banner at the top I bill per hour for that kind of work. Some examples of pricing can be found at http://www.profitmartbydesign.com or you can contact me by going to the contact page on that site.

Hi Bryan
So with these websites one can not add Text ad’s, Banner ad’s as mentioned in the Afiliate panel video tutorial. This is misleading when one signs up as one is lead to believe this is all possible to do but then you are told, well to do this it cost more money!
It also shows adding logo’s!
So to actualy benifit from being an affiliate with profitmart I need to spend more money in order to put the profitmart banners on my website.
I am not familiar with HTML.
What this means is that with the standard website there is no hope in making money on line.

Opps. My mistake. I assumed you wanted to modify the template.
I was talking about the top banner for the template or the over all look of the site.
Not adding little banners or text into the body of the text area.
These are two diffrent kettles of fish.
It is quite easy to add text and banners into the main body of the site.
I will do a quick video next week showing how to add banners and text hyperlinks to the main body of your ProfitMart site. Sorry just don’t have the time this week.

Could you help me resolve the following problems with my profitmart site:
can’t have a separate page titled my own weyword.
e.g. http://www.mysite.net/mykeywordpage.html
instead it goes:
http://www.mysite.net/index.php?search=mykeyword
that’s not good for SEO.
can’t upload an image, (images must reside somewhere else on net)
-the background is grey and drab, same for “title” area.
can’t select amazon products based on my niche -
only on the “default category” clickbank category
(the closest is “gardening” and that’s not what I want)
so have decided to not use this feature.
can’t choose where to display the various page elements
can’t select any amount (other than 0,5,10,15) default Clickbank products to display
can’t choose which clickbank products will be shown
so have decided to not use this feature.
If I want to link to specific cb products I can do so in a link. but can’t upload an image
can’t upload a background image or anything.
how do I create and upload my own template?
why don’t you get Ron to give members the option of just ftp-ing up there own index.html and
other pages?
also there is no “forgot username/password” fot the cpanel login page

Sorry but I am going to make this comment in point form otherwise the reply would go on forever almost.
Since you have full control over your hosting you could add html or php pages to you site. But that is assuming you know how to make web pages.
As far as I know there would have to be programming involved on ProfitMart’s end to make that happen. I know WordPress can with it’s permalinks ablility but not ProfiMart at present.
Sure you can upload your own pics to your web site and use them. Again you would have to learn some html or php and use a ftp program of some sort to upload and modify the pages.
The title area is a template so if you want to change the pictures or add pictures to the very top you would need to modify the site template.
Frankly the Clickbank product amount of 15 is very good considering they are the top selling products and if you have more it just adds to the confusion of the page. Too many items is just too much for a prospective customer to comprehend and quite often nothing is sold.
Amazon – It would be amazon you would have to configure not ProfitMart. Right now the banner is contextually based so it looks at your page and decides what to put on it. If you don’t put any content that relates and I mean added content then it will pick stuff willie nillie.
Creating your own template is easy but you need to know php and html and understand how to ftp to the site and if you don’t know html or php then take the time learn it.
You can ftp your site by using an ftp program or dreamweaver or any flavor of web design tool that has the ability to ftp and add your own index.php or index.html but what would be the point of having the ProfitMart tools and deleting them.
