Creative Block

A Blog is exactly what was needed to express the way I feel at the moment and how to break the Creative Block that has taken hold of me.

Is this a common accurance does anyone feel the same I’m willing to bet they do, having just joined ProfitMart I found I just cannot go forward, it’s probably a case of Profitmart  ! to much to take in and the dread of taking the wrong paths. Upto now all I’ve basically done is read and read try to digest and machinate the information into a coherent plan of action.

Do I have some ideas, yes, how about fishing, well fishing reels no rods, no I’m good with collectibles, no football shirts, maybe cycling, eBay related site, no to many already doing that. So I go on talking to myself like some deranged muttering hyena.

The confusion goes on, what will appeal to people how do I create the WOW factor, not look amatueristic, the colour and layout. The site has to look good and not a confusion of half thought out ideas, it needs to look professional and have the ’sticky’ appeal.

Then the search engine friendly aspect needs to be considered, what’s the point of creating a masterpiece if it’s hidden under a mountain of other sites! Content, not just copied content but unique content and lots of it is supposed to help your search engine standing. This is going to take a long time as good written content must be informative and interesting to people and not a switch off.

Hell this is getting more of a labour of love than a profitable venture leading to a happy retirement, maybe I should walk away for a while and come back with a fresh look at the situation. Take the dog for a walk, or go camping on the moores for a few days, or spend the weekend in a pub.

I think a bit of good advise is not to rush into it, don’t throw up something that you will start to hate later on, the product is great so I’m going to try and get a few people to join and maybe make a few pennies out of the affiliate program, joined the co-op to see how that goes.

Sorry to subject people to my madness, if you want to comment please do, if you have gone through this madness and have now seen the light, and are a success then I’d love to hear your story, it might be the inspiration that is needed to kick start my on-line venture.

Thanks for reading, I will post an up date when I know what I’m doing.

Hello Frank,

I hear you loud and clear! We could go to the pub and discuss this issue at length because I’m going through the same predicament.

To Do List: Got to think of a niche that hasn’t been beat to death, think of a short catchy domain name, write content with keywords and make sure it’s going to be something you love so the creative juices don’t fizzle out etc etc etc.

I do know one thing for sure we picked the right vehicle in Profitmart, the technical part is done for us so we just have to manage our sites.

I heard a term once which I have never forgotten “you don’t have to get it right, just get it going”

Sitting around thinking about it isn’t going to make us any money Frank, so let’s get it going! I’m reading the “Idiot’s Guide” that our two leaders wrote and I must say it’s giving me a few ideas.

Here’s to our success!

I’ll re-post as well when things start to roll.

make more money…

When I first came to Glenn Dietzel as a client of the Entrepreneurial Authoring program in May of 06, I knew nothing about sales and marketing. I did not come to him with a business already in place. I was totally“ green” or“ wet behind the ears….
