When Rick and I put together the Affiliate PowerBARtoolbar for Internet Explorer and Firefox, we had a number of things we wanted it to do for affiliate marketers, particularly our Pro2 and ProfitMart members;

  1. Provide instant access to powerful marketing information, including Videos, Podcasts, and text-based;
  2. Provide instant access to the latest free and premium advertising resources, safelists, traffic exchanges, etc.;
  3. Provide imstant exposure of user websites via the RSS feeds, allowing users to link their websites from the toolbar; 
  4. Provide instant access to the feature-rich ProfitMart Niche and Affiliate website system in  a convenient and streamlined fashion;
  5. It had to be Certified free from adware, spyware, and malware of any kind to ensure the security of our members;
  6. Provide timely information; Because we believe timely and accurate information may make the difference between a successful business and one that fails, we recognize that we need to provide members with live RSS feeds from key sources such as the ProfitMart Community Forum, The ProfitMart Bog, Ron’s Audio PodCast Training, and SourceOfArticles.com, where members may obtain quality content for their sites.;
  7. Direct access to the ProfitMart Control  Panel, where account system are centralized;
  8. Provide access to the “Pathway to Prosperity” quick-start guide for new members;
  9. Provide a plethora of useful links to help them in building their business, learning how to do the business, and how to share ideas and methods with each other in a safe and controlled learning and working environment; and
  10. Provide a live scrolling announcement marquee for important updates.

Since the original design, the Affiliate PowerBAR has seen 4 major iterations, including the newest which puts a member’s website link right into the bar instantly as a bonus to any member that wishes to be there. We feature one PM member site every few days by linking the site to the “Featured PM” button directly, and with over 5,300 toolbars in use, provides traffic they might not otherwise get.
