WHAT ARE WEB ANALYTICS?

world WHAT ARE WEB ANALYTICS?

Web analytics refer to the statistics associated with a website. If you have ever heard somebody talking about how many visitors he had in a day, he was referring to web analytics. Web analytics is a composite of all the variables that affect a website in a statistical form.

Web analytics help you to know what is happening to your site. From the web analytics you can determine how many people visited your page, what they did, which browsers they used, which sites were not found, which pages are visited most and what keywords visitors used to reach your site. Aside from the statistical value of these pieces of information, you can make an overall deduction of how well your site is performing.

For example, if you have 80% of your visitors coming from Mexico, then you would know that it is time to optimize your site and its content to meet their needs. If your website visitors keep reducing, then it may be time to step up your marketing. If many pages in your site were not found, or “404″, then you need to fix your broken links.

You can get all these facts ands figures from your web host panel, such as “Cpanel“. If your web host doesn’t have them, you can register at Google analytics and have reports on all that we have discussed here.
