Meet “Larry”, the Affiliate Anti-Hero!

It had to happen. Sooner or later I would receive the email that would just beg the creation of a character personifying the sum total of all the affiliate marketers who find they have led themselves up the proverbial garden path to affiliate mediocrity, lazily thumbing their noses at every good tidbit of advise, and against all reason.

Well, as Mr. Al Pacino once said so memorably “Say hello to my little friend!”.

The biggest difference between Al Pacino’s little friend, and “Larry”, the one I am introducing you to today is that our little friend doesn’t shoot out bullets. In fact Larry doesn’t do much at all. It is my belief that this is just where his uphill battle with affiliate marketing starts.

You see, Larry takes great comfort in the fact that there is always someone there for him to blame for his stalled affiliate marketing career. Yep, he has tried all of the programs, but has determined that they all must be “scams” because none of them made him wealthy.

Now, in Larry’s defence, most programs embellish a little in the ad copy, some more than others, so how could it be Larry’s fault that after two years of trying at business online he is out almost $500 and has never made a single sale?

I invite you to follow Larry here on the blog over the next few weeks, as he tries his very hardest (by his own measure at least) to get his business going, seemingly against all odds, and see if you can’t spot where he is going astray?

It’s sure to be fun, informative, and just maybe we can spot the “Larry” moves we are all a little guilty of from time to time, and build on them to do the thing a little better next time.
