One of the biggest mistakes that affiliates make, is to promote the wrong products.
When selecting products for promotion, it’s often difficult to tell which ones are the best. In a sea of literally thousands to choose from, how do you decide?
Well i have some important tips for you all:-
Don’t promote a product that you wouldn’t buy yourself.
Some of the things you should look for are: Is the website looking professional? Do it have a proper contact page? Is the sales message understandable?
You can answer these questions simply by visiting their website. Make sure they’re not running ads (AdSense, Amazon and Ebay etc) on their sales page. This makes it look less professional and will cost you sales.
Next, read the sales letter. See if it makes sense to you and if it makes you want to buy the product. Are there spelling and grammar errors? Is it full of hype, colored text, excessive bold font and exclamation marks? The sales letter should be understandable in its entirety.
Make sure the products you promote are supported!
The last thing you want to do is promote a product, make a bunch of sales and then find out that they don’t support their customers. These are your customers, and they will not trust you in the future if they have a bad experience with a company you recommend.
Tell the company you’re considering promoting their product and want to make sure they provide good support to their customers. That way you will find out first hand if there is any support.
Take the entire sales process into account.Sometimes it’s tempting to promote an expensive product because it pays bigger commissions. But it’s also much harder to sell high-ticket items, so you’ll sell a lot less of them. In addition to being easier to sell, lower priced products are often the “front-end” to a higher priced product. This a common strategy because it’s relatively easy to get someone to purchase a low price product, build trust with them by over-delivering high-quality for the low price and then sell them a high-ticket item after developing this trust.
Make sure you get paid for all products sold to your referrals and this strategy can work for you, too.
